A native Texan, Dr.
Marye grew up in Dallas and graduated from Jesuit College Preparatory. After earning his Bachelor's degree from the University
of Texas at Austin, he dedicated his career to healthcare and the practice of dentistry.
Prior to dental school,
he became a Licensed Paramedic and worked as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas for five
years. While attending Baylor College of Dentistry-Texas A&M Health Science Center, Dr. Marye participated in externships at
Children's Medical Center and the Indian Health Service. He also participated in the Senior Clinic Honors Program and
received awards from the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and from the Organization of Teachers of Oral
Diagnosis. Since graduating, Dr. Marye has attended continuums in Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry, Implant Dentistry
and Adult Orthodontics. He has completed many other continuing education courses in preventive, restorative
and aesthetic dentistry in his ten years of practice.
Dr. Marye has
served as the Dallas Mavericks' Team Dentist since 2002. He has served as adjunct faculty for Baylor College of Dentistry
in the School for Public Health as a Preceptor and for Texas Woman's University in the School of Dental Hygiene
where he has taught Embryology, Histology and Head and Neck Anatomy for the past seven years. Dr. Marye volunteers
his time to his children's pursuits at their school, Liberty Christian and to the dental clinic at Christian
Community Action. He has also served as treasurer on the board for the North Texas Book Festival, a foundation supporting
literacy programs in libraries and schools in North Texas.
Dr. Marye
is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the American
Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Marye and his wife, Rachel, have
a small farm in Bartonville. Their family includes three children: Gabrielle, George and Gianna, three dogs: Gus, Sugar Bear
and Pee Wee, three barn kitties: Roscoe, Maybelle and Elsie, three horses: Bueno, Stormy and Booger, and four
mini donkeys: Brushy, Flossy, Coco and Sharann. They also have a few chickens so patients are welcome to farm fresh
eggs.
